I’ve been in the restaurant and hospitality business in the Clear Lake and Houston, Texas area for over 19 years. Back in 1998, I opened a waterfront restaurant in Seabrook called Studio 54 Café. Two of our most popular dishes were the Peanut Chicken Pasta and our famous Peanut Wings—both made with a bold, Thai-inspired peanut sauce we created in-house. It became a signature flavor people still talked about years later. In 2017, I pulled out the old recipe and made a batch just for fun. One taste brought everything back. Friends and family tried it and said, “You need to bottle this.” Life got in the way, but in early 2022, I finally decided it was time to bring the sauce to life. The name B’Cub came from my daughter, who’s called me that since she was little. Every Christmas, she gave me hats with “B’Cub” stitched on them. I always told her, “One day I’m going to use that name for something special.” So when it came time to launch, B’Cubs Sauces was the perfect fit. I’ve always been drawn to the soulful energy of New Orleans—the food, the culture, the mystery—which inspired the name and design of B’Cubs Voodoo Peanut Sauce.
After refining the recipe, I created three spice levels—Mild, Original (Medium), and Hot—and started sharing samples with friends, chefs, and local businesses. The response was incredible. I began selling at farmers markets, small shops, and online. Now, my goal is to grow B’Cubs Sauces and get this unique, Texas-made peanut sauce into restaurants and
stores across the country.
