The slow cooker does the work, B'Cubs® Classic Honey Mustard does the flavor. This Texas Honey Mustard Slow Cooker Chicken is sweet, honey-forward, and tender enough to pull apart with a fork. Set it in the morning and come home to dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1½ cups B'Cubs® Classic Honey Mustard (plus more for serving)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prep: Slice the onion and mince the garlic.
- Layer the slow cooker: Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the chicken breasts on top. Pour B'Cubs® Classic Honey Mustard generously over the chicken, coating all pieces well. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and salt.
- Cook: Set to low and cook for 4 to 6 hours until the chicken is tender and pulls apart easily.
- Serve: Plate the chicken over steamed rice or roasted vegetables. Spoon the sauce from the slow cooker generously over the top, and add an extra drizzle of B'Cubs® Classic Honey Mustard right before serving.
Serve it With
This pairs naturally with our Sweet Corn and Edamame Skillet for a complete honey mustard meal. Roasted new potatoes or steamed rice also work great alongside.
Tips
- Always layer onions at the bottom of the slow cooker for even cooking and better flavor distribution.
- Once the chicken is tender, switch to warm to avoid overcooking.
- Don't be shy with the sauce. The more B'Cubs® Classic Honey Mustard, the better the glaze on your rice and vegetables.
- Leftovers are great shredded over a sandwich or wrap the next day.
